HOME OF GOOD HOPE

The Home of Good Hope is run by Monica, her son Peacemaker and several volunteers. These amazing people feed 500 school children twice a day with no electricity or running water. In between meals, they hold preschool for the younger children. We love stopping in to help serve food, play with the kids and bring whatever we can that may help them out.

WHATEVER ELSE COMES UP...

We visit churches in Windhoek and Gabbabis. We bring toys for the kids, play with them and generally see what's needed. We stayed at a lodge where there was a preschool being run by the owners. We had no idea that was the case, but we had a great time playing with the kids and helping with lunch.

KALAHARI SCHOOL

The Kalahari School is located in the middle of the Kalahari Desert. Many of the kids live at the school for the school year as they live too far away to go home other than for summer vacation. We love to stop in and play and sing! The kids there are especially fond of sweets. We like to bring suckers. There's always lots of excitement when the sweets get passed out!
